In 1994, two pastors shared a vision to start a traditional, community-based Christian school in the Mid-Ohio Valley that would be governed by a school board rather than tied to a single church. With support from local churches and families, property was secured in 1995, and Wood County Christian School opened that fall serving grades K4–12.Since then, the school has grown from 175 to 281 students
